Weighing & Labelling
Uniworks Value Add supports the weighing and labelling of both cartons and pieces.
Carton weighing and labelling can either be manual at a packing station, partially automatic, or completely automatic.
Piece weighing and labelling will be supported from mid 2025.
- Automation requires a custom integration with third party systems through the API.
- The net and shipping weights are calculated from the gross weights using tare calculations.
- Tracking the number of pieces in a carton is supported if required.
- Individually weigh and label each piece to go into the carton.
- Apply the per kg and total retail price using information from the production order.
- Once complete, automatically create a carton from the pieces.
- Note: It is assumed that most value add plants will have separate machines to piece label.
All labels generated by the system are recorded against the inventory item.
Label verification will be supported from late 2025:
- An AI backed camera will be used to verify that the label applied to the carton and/or piece is the same as the system generated label.
